Abstract

Mathematics learning is considered very difficult and boring so that it makes student learning outcomes decrease. The purpose of this study is to determine the difference in student learning outcomes between the Conventional learning model and the Card Sort learning model in the Cube and Block material of grade VIII MTs Darunnajah Sawahan Academic Year 2023/2024. This research is an experimental research using a quantitative approach, namely Quasi Experimental with a Post-test Only Control Group Design research design. This research is called population research because all populations are used as samples, namely class VIII-A as many as 35 students as a control class and class VIII-B as many as 34 students as an experimental class. The data analysis technique used is the t-test or t-test technique. Based on the test results, students showed an average Post test score of 70.42 for the control class which means quite good and an average Post test score of 84.08 for the experimental class which means good. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the significant level of 5% for dk = 67 tcount value = 7.721 and ttable = 1.996, then tcount > ttable which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So that "There is a difference in student learning outcomes between the Conventional learning model and the Card Sort learning model".
